Vespa Ride to PowerPlant

Yesterday I decided to go to Powerplant.  Since I am off I usually hate taking my car due to the soaring prices of gas and traffic.  So at around 12 noon I started to suit up and prepare, I was really excited to ride my Vespa because I have been riding it sparingly during the whole month of march. Ok let me get my ritual correct, helmet with dark lens cover CHECK, “Original” :) Vespa Riding jacket uber hot but keeps me from becoming a human coal CHECK, Ipod to sing along with and annoy the pants off my fellow riders during stop lights “Its only TEENAGE WASTE LAAAAANDDD!!!!by the WHO :) “.

So I commenced my trip which is approximately an hour of riding in the heat.  Buzzing along Alabang and then finally reaching the service roads which I didn’t know was being rehabilitated, so the entire stretch from alabang to bicutan area was being built, rough roads and dust was not a welcome sight. :( My supposed 40mins -1 hour travel time ballooned to almost an hour and a half. But still I couldn’t complain, any excuse to use my Vespa was a welcome treat for me.

I reached Powerplant at around 1:30 pm and I parked at the basement level and being a scooter, they allowed me to park right in front of the entrance of the mall. Finally AIRCON!.

Riding home was a completely different experience. I took a different route and really had a blast riding along the streets. Now If only someone was at my back hugging me.  Now thats what you call riding nirvana.
